Advancement Portrayed

Continuing our survey of the parables that Jesus taught in Luke, we take in the back-to-back pictures of the mustard seed and yeast in chapter 13, verses 18-21. Again, on appearances the Kingdom of God shows little, if any, sign of progress. And yet, Jesus told us that the advancement of his reign would be unstoppable, and, therefore, we are to let go of our resistance to it.  We both recognize that 1) the Kingdom will adequately shelter everyone who enters it; and 2) the Kingdom will slowly spread everywhere. Let's listen to the Risen King!
