To be Free free.

Our message at our joint service this Sunday will be about "freeing our freedom" - from Galatians 5:1-12. We "flip out" about freedom and do not fully grasp the meaning of our freedom in Christ. You only have to hear the chants on certain NYC campuses about "from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free," to know that we get freedom twisted. We will look at how we stand firm in our freedom and how that means we 1) should not fall for that which is "not free"; 2) should move forward by following Jesus rather than our hearts.

After the service there will be a Congregational Business Meeting wherein the rights of members are exercised and matters are decided at the level of the local congregation.  The meeting will be held to vote in new members as well as a change to our constitution. (Some changes reflect a need to ensure we are free to exercise our convictions). Such meetings are an integral part of being the Free Church.

Also after the service there will be an outreach to the neighborhood. Beginning with the full armor of God, we will let kids know that they can be free from fear and Satan's attacks.

Stay free!
