Do Not Miss What is Missing

As the conflict has emerged at this point in the book of Esther, we must not miss what is missing in the account. As we consider Esther 4, we see that God delivers his people through unexpected means (v. 14) despite our fixation with our circumstances and crises (vv. 1 and 11). Therefore, we expectantly direct our praying and fasting towards Him - unlike Esther and Mordecai (vv. 1, 3, 16). Do not miss the actual hero in our story.
