What's Faith Got To Do With It?

We begin a new series in the book of James by pondering the opening verses of James 1:1-4. For a book that can seem not to say much about faith, we actually find the key idea that we belong to the Lord Jesus Christ (vv. 1-2), and, thus, we embrace the testing of our faith (v. 3).  This is applicable to us since, like the original audience, we are all scattered and tried (vv. 1-2) in some fashion. We hope to note that 1) James is the brother who came to faith, and 2) this epistle is for brothers and sisters who belong to God by faith. We also begin a new Q & A (question and answer) session after the worship service such that questions arising from the sermon or about the Christian faith in general can be discussed. We would welcome your presence and participation.
